TAFCOP Portal is a smart initiative developed by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), India. It is designed to encourage consumers to keep monitoring and create mobile connections registered in their name. DigiTelecom Governor (Department of Telecom) has recently launched a new portal which is tafcop.sancharsaath.gov.in which has more feature than previous domain of TAF COP). Through TAF COP communication partner users can also track active SIM records and they can also block mobile/smartphone in case of lost or stolen through TAF COP consumer portal, if users find any device So they can also unblock it by following the instructions given below.

Services available at TAFCOP

The main objective of TAF COP is to prevent SIM-based cyber fraud which is very serious issue, most of the people do not know how many SIM cards have been issued on their Aadhaar card. Through this portal, the government aims that every citizen can know how many SIM cards he has. Through tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in we can access various services listed below.

  1. We can get the complete list of all the active numbers which have been issued on our ID.
  2. We can directly block unauthorized mobile numbers/unused numbers.
  3. To access its services we need to log in through any active mobile number which is registered with our Aadhaar.

The process of TAF COP consumer portal login is very simple and easy, anyone can easily login into this portal, we just have to visit the official website of https://tafcop.sancharsaath.gov.in/ which is first called tafcop.dgtelecom. We can do this easily by following the simple steps given below.

  1. Scroll down the official website and go to Citizen-Centric Services (Know Your Mobile Connection TAFCOP) Now click on it.
  2. For Tafcop DG Telecom login you need to enter any active mobile number which is registered with your Aadhar card.
  3. Verify the captcha code then enter the OTP and click on login.
  4. After logging in, you will see a list of all the mobile connections that are registered on your Aadhar card.
  5. This way you can track active mobile connections by TAFCOP portal login.
  6. You can also take necessary action against the listed numbers.

Tafcop DG Telecom is Tracing Government (Lost/Stolen) Mobile

The Ministry of Telecommunications also provides the facility to track lost/stolen mobiles through tafcop.sancharsaath.gov.in, earlier known as taf cop. DigiTelecom. As per Governor CIER report, 7,64,153 mobile phones have been blocked and 3,04,304 mobile phones have been detected.

Follow the steps below to easily track/block lost/stolen devices.

  1. Open the newly launched official website of CIER (Sanchar Sathi).
  2. Go to citizen-centric services and click on Block your lost/stolen mobile (CEIR).
  3. A new page will open on www.ceir.sancharsathi.gov.in.
  4. Now click on CEIR (Blocked Lost/Stolen Mobile).
  5. After clicking, the blocking request form will open which is divided into three steps.
  6. device info.
  7. Lost information.
  8. Personal information of the mobile owner.
  9. Enter all the required details in each section.
  10. Upload purchase challan, police station complaint and address proof (Aadhaar, driving license, voter card or passport).
  11. Finally enter your valid mobile number which you have and actively verify through OTP.
  12. Now click on submit. You will get the complaint number which you can save to track the status of your complaint.

Documents Required for Tafcop DGtelecom Portal

For Track Active SIM:

To track activated SIM the applicant should only have an active mobile number. It is activated with person’s Aadhaar ID and no other document is required to track the status of activated SIM.

For lost/stolen mobile:

Candidates must have the following documents to lodge a complaint against lost/stolen mobile.

  1. bill challan
  2. police complaint
  3. Valid ID proof (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving License, etc.)
  4. Necessary action for TAFCOP Aadhaar link on more than 9 SIMs
  5. If we find more than 9 SIM cards which are linked to our Aadhaar we can take action against him. 
  6. As per TAFCOP Aadhaar Link report, where any user has multiple connections, when he crosses more than 9 SIMs they will get a notification to take necessary action.

If there are more than 9 SIM cards on our base then follow the step below.

  1. Open the official website of TAF COP (https://tafcop.sanchaarsathi.gov.in).
  2. Now enter your active mobile number.
  3. We can log in through any active SIM card which is linked to our Aadhaar ID.
  4. Verify through OTP and Captcha code and click on login.
  5. Now the list of all the mobile numbers will appear in front of us.
  6. If any number is found as unknown then click on not my number/not-required.
  7. Thus, we can remove unknown/unnecessary numbers through TAFCOP Aadhaar Link Portal.

Process to download TAF COP app on smartphone

As per DOT, there is no official app to track SIM card status or block/unblock a lost or stolen device, but we can access these services by visiting TAF COP communication partner or CEIR, maybe in future DoT will launch an official app for these services.

  1. Open PlayStore (in Android devices)/App Store (in iOS).
  2. Click on the search bar and search TAF COP.
  3. Find an official app created by DOT.
  4. Click Download and wait for the app to install.
  5. Enter the details when the app is installed .
