NDA VS INDIA: 2024 Lok Sabha Election

Top political leaders of 26 opposition parties across the country met in Bengaluru on 18 June. To chalk out a strategy. They forge a united front against the ruling NDA coalition led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2024 Elections. During the meeting, the opposition parties’ leaders collectively agreed on a name for the alliance. The opposition parties officially named the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, or INDIA for the 2024 Lok Sabha Election. After that, it will be NDA vs INDIA.

Expressing his views, AAP MP Raghav Chadha said that the central government has failed on every front. He highlighted that there was no meeting of the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) in the last 9 years. But they called a meeting recently. He mentioned that the BJP used to claim “Ek Akela Sab Par Bhari”. Although they are no longer using this slogan. 

Raghav Chadha said the upcoming election had become a contest between NDA and India. He believes that India will emerge victorious. Raghav also appreciated the name I.N.D.I.A. regardless of who proposed it. He said that the next round of discussion will be on issues like seat sharing and election campaigns

2024 Lok Sabha Election

A day after opposition parties revealed the name ‘INDIA’ for their alliance. They finalized the tagline “Jeetega Bharat” for their 2024 Lok Sabha Election campaign. The tagline means that “India will win”. It is expected to be adopted in various regional languages. During the meeting on Tuesday, June 18, the opposition expressed the significance of this alliance. This includes the word “Bharat” (India) in the name of the alliance. As a result, the opposition decided to include it in the tagline. The formulation of the tagline “Jeetega Bharat” is the result of a collaborative effort by several leaders within the alliance. I.N.D.I.A. has built an alliance to beat NDA. This controversial alliance is built for upcoming elections in 2024.

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge said, “First we were UPA. But, now all 26 parties have given one name to the opposition. That is – Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (India).”

After finalizing the name, the opposition’s leaders among 26 parties decided to set up an 11-member coordination committee. This formed committee includes all major parties. The parties decided to set up a ‘Secretariat’ in Delhi. This would be responsible for managing the campaign and coordinating the efforts of several sub-committees addressing specific issues.

Kharge further informed the next meeting of the opposition. The next meeting will be held in Mumbai and its date will be announced soon.
